The Saint Barthélemy Music Festival started in 1984 with a handful of musicians and friends of the founder, Frances Debroff. The initial idea was to make a little music around a little punch at the Select!

 

40 years later, it has become one of the largest Classical Music events in the Caribbean to which the most talented musicians from the international scene are invited.

Since 1985, Saint-Barthélemy has hosted a unique performing arts festival in the world. Every January we offer evenings of live music and sometimes dancing in an informal island setting. Audiences enjoy intimate concerts by some of the world's biggest stars of classical music, opera, ballet and jazz.

These artists have an artistic level that one would normally have to reach at Carnegie Hall in New York or the Opéra Garnier in Paris to experience. But we offer them in Saint Barthélemy with the advantage of being able to enjoy the breeze, the sun and the white beaches of the island.
